LedgerMins Get early access

For CA practices and businesses on TallyPrime

Bank statements into TallyPrime, with the right ledgers, in minutes.

Upload a statement in any common format. LedgerMins proves every row against the statement's own balance, you choose or check the ledgers, and it posts the vouchers into TallyPrime through your browser, then reads back what arrived.

  • Every row proven against the balance
  • No installer: a small browser extension
  • Your data kept in India
  • Works with TallyPrime 7.1 or later

We're opening LedgerMins to a small group of accounting practices first. Write to support@ledgermins.com to be one of them.

How it works

From the bank's file to vouchers in TallyPrime

  1. Connect TallyPrime

Add the LedgerMins extension to Chrome or Edge on a computer that reaches your TallyPrime. Each client is a company in TallyPrime; LedgerMins reads its ledgers so you pick from the real names.

  2. Upload the statement

Choose the client's bank account and drop in the file: PDF, scanned PDF, Excel, CSV or the bank's export. No template to set up for any bank.

  3. Review and confirm

Every row of the statement in one grid. Pick ledgers, split a row across several, set many rows at once, or mark a row Don't post. A row without a ledger goes to the bank account's suspense ledger.

  4. Post to Tally

LedgerMins shows the company, bank account, period and voucher count before it posts, then reads back from TallyPrime which vouchers arrived. A failed voucher can be fixed and sent again on its own.

What it checks

Nothing unproven looks proven

A wrong voucher in a client's books is found late and costs more than the original entry. So LedgerMins checks, says what it found in plain words, and leaves the decisions with you.

Every row against the balance

Each row's balance must follow from the one before it, to the paisa, so a missing or extra row can't pass. A statement whose rows don't reach its own closing balance is refused, with both figures shown.

Doubtful rows are marked

When a statement has no balance to check against, or a date looks wrong, the row is marked with the reason, and you confirm that you've checked the marked rows before anything moves on.

The right bank

If the statement looks like another bank's, LedgerMins says so before you review it, and offers to switch.

The right company

Before posting, LedgerMins checks that the client's own company is open in TallyPrime. Another company open, or one with the same name but not the same books, stops the post before anything is sent.

Ledgers that still exist

If a ledger was deleted in TallyPrime after you chose it, LedgerMins stops before posting and shows which rows use it, so you can take the statement back to review.

Never posted twice

Posting again, or picking up after a closed tab, sends only what didn't reach TallyPrime. A voucher you edited by hand in TallyPrime is left alone.

TallyPrime

Your TallyPrime stays where it is

TallyPrime keeps running on your computer or your office network. A small LedgerMins extension in your browser carries LedgerMins's requests to it and brings back the answers. There's nothing to install on the Tally computer and no Tally cloud sync to set up.

The extension works only with LedgerMins, and only for what you ask: reading what it needs from the client's company and posting the vouchers you confirmed. Nothing changes in TallyPrime until you choose Post to Tally.

What you need

  • TallyPrime 7.1 or later, with the company open
  • Chrome or Microsoft Edge, with the LedgerMins extension
  • A computer that reaches TallyPrime: the same one, or one on the office network

Who it's for

For the people who keep the books

CA practices

Every client, every bank account, every month, in bursts around GST dates and the audit season. Each client keeps its own company, bank accounts and ledgers.

Bookkeepers

Books for several small businesses, statements in every shape, no setup per bank, and a clear list of what still needs you.

Businesses on TallyPrime

One to three bank accounts kept current in minutes, without typing every line.

Your data

What protects your clients' data

Kept in India, encrypted

Your account and your clients' statements are stored in India and kept encrypted.

Statements don't linger

A statement and its rows are deleted after the period your organisation sets: 30 days unless you change it, or not stored at all.

Your passwords stay yours

We never see or store your sign-in password. A statement's password opens the file once and is never kept.

Private to your organisation

Only the people in your organisation can see its clients, statements and vouchers.

AI never reads your transactions

To recognise a new statement's layout, AI may see a masked sample of it: names and long numbers replaced, dates and amounts kept. It never turns your transactions into entries and never chooses your ledgers.

You decide what's posted

Nothing reaches TallyPrime until you confirm it. Every new user is also verified by a phone call within 48 hours before their account opens.

Privacy notice

We collect your name, email address and mobile number to sign you in and to confirm by a phone call that it's you, and the bank statements you upload and what LedgerMins reads from your TallyPrime, to turn statements into vouchers.

Statements are deleted after the period your organisation sets (30 days unless changed). To suggest the right ledgers, LedgerMins also keeps a copy of your clients' ledgers, their bank vouchers from the last 12 months and their open bills, read from TallyPrime. This copy is kept even if your organisation chooses not to store statements: vouchers older than 12 months are deleted every day, and the rest is kept while the client is in LedgerMins. Your account and statements are stored in India (Mumbai) with Amazon Web Services and Supabase. To recognise a statement's columns, LedgerMins may send a masked sample of its layout to Anthropic's AI service: names and other words, and numbers of six or more digits, are replaced, while dates, amounts, shorter numbers and common banking words are kept. Emails to support are handled by Hostinger.

Pricing

One unit: the entry

One entry is one line on a bank statement, in any format. A scanned PDF costs the same as a CSV, and a line split across several ledgers is still one entry. Every new organisation starts with 2,000 free entries.

  • Unlimited clients on every plan
  • Never charged for a statement LedgerMins couldn't read
  • Reviewing, correcting and posting to TallyPrime cost nothing extra

Plans, from pay as you go to firms with many clients, are published when LedgerMins opens. Prices are in rupees, with GST shown before you pay.

FAQ

Questions

Which banks and formats does LedgerMins read?

Statements from Indian banks as PDF (including scanned PDFs up to 100 pages and password-protected ones), Excel (XLSX and XLS), CSV, and bank exports (OFX, QIF, MT940 and CAMT.053). LedgerMins finds the date, narration, amount and balance columns by itself, with no template to set up for any bank.

How do I know the rows are right?

Every row is checked against the statement's running balance, to the paisa. When the balances follow from first row to last, the statement is proven. When they can't be checked (some exports carry no balance), the rows are marked and you confirm that you've looked at them. A statement that doesn't add up is refused, never passed off as right.

Will it create duplicate vouchers in TallyPrime?

Not from LedgerMins's own posts. Posting an import again changes nothing, and after a post interrupted by a closed tab or a lost connection, LedgerMins checks what reached TallyPrime and sends only the rest.

What happens to a row with no ledger?

Nothing is dropped. A row you haven't given a ledger goes to the bank account's suspense ledger, so the bank balance in TallyPrime still agrees with the statement. You can also mark a row Don't post, for example when it's already in TallyPrime.

Do I need to install anything?

Only the LedgerMins extension in Chrome or Edge. LedgerMins itself runs in the browser, and TallyPrime stays on your computer or office network. TallyPrime 7.1 or later is needed.

Where is my data kept, and for how long?

In India, encrypted. Statements and their rows are deleted after the period your organisation sets: 30 days unless you change it, anything from 1 to 365 days, or not stored at all.

Does LedgerMins choose ledgers by itself?

Today you choose them, from your client's real ledger list. We're now building matching from the client's own books: LedgerMins will propose the ledger, and post without a click only what has proven itself on that client's books.
